From Avengers: Doomsday, 15 Shocking Avengers and Marvel Characters Missing

Marvel Characters Missing from Avengers: Doomsday

Like me, you are also a Marvels lover. Right? Then there’s news for you too. The official cast of Avengers: Doomsday has been announced. You can see the great cast in it, but several fan-favorite characters were absent too. Let’s know about heroes and villains who didn’t make the cut. What their absence could mean for the future of MCU.

1. No Spider-Man – Is Peter Parker Forgotten for Good?

Spider-Man has been a dominant character of the MCU, but as you know, events happen in the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the world forgets about Peter Parker. This could be a good reason for the absence of Peter Parker in this movie, but it’s still surprising that Marvel’s most popular hero is not included in the Doomday movie. Or maybe he could come back with a big return in Secret Wars instead?

2. The Hulk – Where is Bruce Banner?

Hulk is a Played a significant role in previous Avengers movies. Mark Ruffalo plays the role of Bruce Banner, the Hulk. He is not in the Doomsday either. The Hulk is last seen in the series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Sakaar with his son, Skaar. Is Marvel making another, bigger storyline for him later?

3. Hawkeye and Nick Fury’s Absence

Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton has been last seen in the Hawkeye series mentoring Kate Bishop (MCU Young Avengers). Neither Clint nor Kate makes it in Doomsday. Is Hawkeye’s story officially over, or will he make a surprise return?

Nick Fury is not in Doomsday either. He is recently seen in Secret Invasion.

4. No Deadpool, Wolverine, Storm or Jean Grey

Deadpool & Wolverine is one of Marvel’s most highly anticipated projects. But in Doomsday they both did not make it. Other X-Men characters like Halle Berry’s Storm, Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey, and Anna Paquin’s Rogue are also absent.

5. No Valkyrie or Other Asgardians

Thor is back for Doomsday, but Valkyrie will be absent. She was last seen in the movie Thor: Love and Thunder. She has been ruling New Asgard. There is no Korg, Miek, or Lady Sif in Doomday. We can also see Thor’s adopted daughter, Love. As we saw in the last credit scene in Love and Thunder, Zeus and Hercules are making some evil plan for superheroes. In Doomday, we will know if their planning for Thor would be successful or not.

6. Guardians of the Galaxy – Star-Lord and Crew Nowhere to Be Seen

Despite hints at Star Lord’s return in Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3, none of the Guardians are lined up for Doomsday.

7. Captain Marvel and The Marvels

Despite her importance in Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel is also not included in the Doomsday cast. None of those characters—Ms. Marvel, Spectrum, Binary, or even Nick Fury—were announced for Doomsday. But X-Men’s Beast, Kelsey Grammer, will be in Avengers: Doomsday.

8. Wong and the Missing Magic Users

Doctor Strange will also be absent from Doomsday; it’s also surprising that Wong, the current Sorcerer Supreme, isn’t included, but he will be in Secrets War. There is no Scarlet Witch or Agatha Harkness either in Doomsday.

9. Disney+ Characters Ignored – No Daredevil, Moon Knight, or She-Hulk

No Disney+ heroes like Daredevil, Punisher, Vision, Sylvie, Moon Knight, Echo, She-Hulk, Werewolf by Night, Agent Mobius, or the TVA appear in Doomsday. Their absence suggests that Marvel is keeping these characters in their respective TV lanes

10. No Ant-Man or WaspFallout from Quantumania?

The Ant-Man & Wasp: Quantumania received a mixed review. Maybe that’s why Marvel is only focusing on Scott Lang while leaving the rest of his team behind. Paul Rudd’s Scott Land is the lineup of Doomsday. So no Hank Pym or Janet Van Dyne. And Evangeline Lilly will appear.

11. Eternals Nowhere to Be Found

Not a single Eternals character is lined up for Doomsday. Which is not surprising because the films disappointed at the box office. But in the movie’s ending scene, a cliffhanger involving Arishem, their absence raises questions about when (or if) they’ll return.

12. No Young Avengers and No Blade

The MCU has been setting up a Young Avengers (Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, America Chavez, Skaar, Eli Bradley, possibly Iron Lad, and T’Challa’s son) team for years, yet none of them appear in Doomsday. Could Marvel be planning a separate project for them?

The character from Mahershala Ali’s Blade is nowhere to be found, despite the excitement around it. Although it’s not shocking that he wasn’t included in Doomsday, fans are nevertheless disappointed because the Blade movie has seen several delays.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.

There are a large number of characters in the MCU, but the absence of so many major characters has left fans questioning Marvel’s strategy. Are these characters being kept for Avengers: Secret Wars, or is this a conscious attempt to simplify the plot? Time will tell.
